Victorian banded agate and pearl cross pendant. Set to centre with a cabochon natural banded agate in a closed back rubover setting, further set with four rectangular polished pieces of natural banded agate in a cross formation, decorated further with four round natural pearls in closed back half drilled settings, to an impressive cross pendant featuring a carved solar motif with granulated detail, fitted to reverse with a locket compartment, and fitted to top with an oval bale, pendent approximately 9.5cm in length and 5.6cm in width. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890.
