Van Cleef & Arpels ruby and diamond ring. Centrally set with a round old cut natural unenhanced ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, further set with thirty two cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a total approximate weight of 1.60 carats, to a heavy yellow gold quatrefoil cluster form (the Alhambra) with ridged detail and sculpted curving forms extending down the shoulders to a solid conforming tapered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, signed 'VAN CLEEF ET ARPELS', numbered '785CS', French, circa 1945.
