Description

Vintage diamond and emerald flower ring by Seaman Schepps. Set with a round old cut diamond to centre in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 1.15 carats, encircled by a single row of outward pointed marquise shape old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, further set with three oval cabochon emeralds in open back half rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.30 carats, flanked to one shoulder with a cluster of five grain set round old cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.15 carats, and flanked to the other shoulder with a row of six round old single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.72 carats, to a stepped flower cluster form with piercing to the centre and intricate backholing, conforming to the finger with an openwork gallery, tapering down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, marked 'SEAMAN SCHEPPS', American, circa 1965.
