Burmese sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Set centrally with one octagonal step cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, enriched by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, all to a three stone design with corner claws, an intricate pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum with yellow gold settings, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #80269-79.
