Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.80 carats, further set with two cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats, alternated by four round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.28 carats. the total approximate sapphire weight is 1.80 carats, to a graduating carved half hoop design with an elegant carved gallery with scroll motifs and open backholing, the shoulders decorated with further carved detail and leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, fully hallmarked for London, numbered '88', English, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services #81280-32.
