Ruby and diamond pendant/locket. A hexagonal locket set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.08 carats, further set with two round old cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, set to top with a round cabochon natural ruby in a closed back rubover setting with a weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate ruby weight is 0.35 carats, to an ornate hexagonal locket design featuring triangular panels with a carved and engraved floral design, hinged to the sides to open from the centre to display four glass compartments, four featuring portraits, with engraved floral decoration throughout, fitted to top with a secure bale, locket approximately 5cm in length. Marked 15 carat yellow gold, approximately 20.5 grams in weight, circa 1890, accompanied by box.
