Description

Ruby and diamond cocktail ring. Horizontally set to centre with a channel set row of five square calibre cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.60 carats, flanked by two vertically set curving rows of round old cut diamonds, eight in total with an approximate combined weight of 0.25 carats in open back grain settings, to a bombe form with an openwork yellow gold stepped outward spray and heavy curving bombe trumpeted shoulders with fluted detail, flowing down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1940s.
