Post Medieval gold skull ring. A smoothly conforming D-shape band engraved to the exterior with a stylised skull, the interior engraved in italic script 'R W Esqr ob 9 Dec 76', approximately 3.5mm in width. Tested yellow gold, maker's mark 'IP' with pellet beneath and within a shield, approximately 2.9 grams in weight, circa 1676.

Accompanied by documentation from the British Museum and the Portable Antiquities Scheme stating that this ring was found whilst metal detecting on the Thames foreshore at Westminster, London, UK. It is recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference LON-82B904; and disclaimed under the Treasure Act, reference 2009T92.
