Description

Padparadscha sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon padparadscha sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.99 carats, surrounded by a single row of twelve round old cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined weight of 1.80 carats, flanked to either side with six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.86 carats, to an impressive oval cluster featuring fine curving claws, open stylised gallery and intricately pierced backholing, the raised squared shoulders are supported by decorative chenier details and terminate to a slim D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, English, circa 1915, accompanied by C.Dunaigre Switzerland report #CDC1605641.
