Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced orange Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.10 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and open oval backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-1801.
