 Description

Old mine diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond, J colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 1.89 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked by six round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.09 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery with scrolling motifs, and fancy shape open backholing, leading to raised, tapering shoulders, which flow though to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2235029168.
