Old cut diamond cluster ring. A round old cut diamond is set to centre in an open back corner claw setting with a weight of 1.70 carats, surrounded by a cluster of twenty four round old cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.65 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.35 carats, to a circular cluster form with intricate openwork and engraving flowing down the shoulders, with a geometric pierced gallery and circular backholing, tapering to a solid flat shank. Tested platinum, circa 1920.
