Old cut diamond cluster ring. A round old cut diamond is set to centre in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, surrounded by a cluster of twenty four round old cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.65 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.35 carats, to a circular cluster design featuring stylized corner claws, an intricately pierced geometric gallery and fancy shape open backholing flanked by trumpeting shoulders with engraved details flowing down to a solid tapering flat shank. Tested platinum, circa 1920.
