Old mine diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond with an approximate weight of 0.65 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.71 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905.
