Medieval iconographic finger ring in silver gilt, 15th - early 16th century. The bezel triangular in section and engraved with textured panels comprising a geometric design of diagonal lines, triangles and grooved patterns. The shoulders, separated from the bezel by two wide channels, have similar decoration, leading to a stepped chevron graduating to a narrower solid shank. Silver gilt, 7.27 grams in weight, 15th - 16th century.
Following a form usually employed on iconographic finger rings, this ring is rare in having purely geometric decoration.
