Late Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Set centrally with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 2.01 carats, bordered by a single row of twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.20 carats and set to either side with two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.31 carats, to an oval coronet cluster design with an intricately pierced gallery, circular backholing and structured shoulders which terminate to a D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat rose gold with silver settings, circa 1900.
