Georgian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural emerald with no colour enhancement in a closed back gold cut down setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, further set with ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in closed back silver cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.30 carats, to an elegant floral cluster design with a solid bezel and closed backholing, flanked by split openwork shoulders with ornate folliate motifs, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1820.
