Emerald and diamond coronet cluster engagement ring. Set to centre with a hexagonal step cut natural emerald with no colour enhancement in an open back rubover millegrain setting with an approximate weight of 0.60 carats, encircled by a single row of sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.40 carats, to an elegant hexagonal openwork cluster with an ornate patterned gallery, intricate pierced backholing and decorated with cheniers to the inwardly tapered shoulders, flowing down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, numbered '39324', circa 1925.
