Edwardian solitaire diamond engagement ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, to an elegant round collet with curving claws, pierced open work gallery and circular backholing, the slightly raised tapering shoulders proceeding to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, marked '633', circa 1910.
