Description

Edwardian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, encircled by twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, to an oval coronet cluster design featuring curving claws and polished edges, a decorative gallery with pierced chenier detail and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with cheniers and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81304-65.
