Edwardian sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, bordered by thirty six round single old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.70 carats, to an intricate openwork cluster with fine millegrain highlights and fancy backholing, issuing foliate sprays from the centre and contained within a scalloped border, the trumpeting shoulders leading to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1910.
