Edwardian sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to the centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.65 carats, surrounded by a row of eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.30 carats, to an elegant elongated cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open back holing, flanked by slightly raised shoulders with grooved detailing, flowing through to a solid tapering shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-1073.
