Edwardian ruby and diamond five stone ring. Set to centre with a single oval old cut natural unenhanced ruby in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.35 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.10 carats, further adorned by two round old cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate ruby weight is 0.45 carats, to an elegant five stone design with polished borders, a solid gallery and round open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark H.W.Ld for Henry Williamson Ltd, English, circa 1915.
