Description

Edwardian pigeon blood Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced pigeon's blood Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.12 carats, encircled by twelve round old cut diamonds in open back rubover and claw settings with a combined weight of 1.30 carats and also set with two round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.34 carats, to an elegant oval cluster with a finely pierced gallery with engraved ridged detail, open backholing and flanked by smoothly conforming shoulders and lead through to ridged shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1910, accompanied by Gem Research SwissLab (GRS) report #2014-113399.
