Edwardian old mine diamond solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond, U-V colour, SI1 clarity, with an approximate weight of 3.40 carats in an open back claw setting, further adorned by six round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.52 carats, to an elegant solitaire design with curving claws, a pierced gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, the raised shoulders with chenier detail flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1910, accompanied by a Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) report #1206400616.
