Edwardian diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, I colour, VS2 clarity, with an approximate weight of 1.63 carats in an open back fancy claw setting, flanked to either side by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.79 carats, to an elegantly raised solitaire with fine curving claws, open scalloped gallery and intricate open backholing, the split trumpeting shoulders feature subtle millegrain borders terminating to incised ribbed decoration before smoothing to a solid D-shape shank.
