Edwardian diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.12 carats, further set with eight round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by angled openwork shoulders flowing down to a solid tapered D-shape shank. Marked platinum and 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1910.
