Edwardian diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, I colour, SI1 clarity, with an approximate weight of 1.28 carats in an open back claw setting surrounded by twenty round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats, further flanked by six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.93 carats, to an impressive target design, featuring millegrain borders, a decoratively pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with chenier detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, French import marks, circa 1915.
