Edwardian diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.95 carats, surrounded by a single row of eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.60 carats, flanked by two round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.59 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster featuring fine curving claws, intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders include subtle engraved details before smoothing to a solid slim shank. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, circa 1910.
