Edwardian Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set centrally with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.75 carats, further set with sixteen round mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.65 carats, to a lozenge shaped cluster with a pierced gallery, fancy shaped backholing and split shoulders leading through to a slim shank. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, English, circa 1910.
