Diamond crossover ring. Set with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.00 carats, further set with two cushion shape old mine diamonds in similar settings with a combined weight of 1.25 carats and fourteen cushion shape rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.14 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.39 carats, to an ornate vertical crossover ring, with leaf motifs, millegrain highlights, pierced collets and fancy shaped backholing, the swirling inwardly tapering crossover shoulders lead through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked yellow gold and platinum, French control marks, circa 1900.
