Colombian emerald and diamond pendant. Set to centre with a drop shape old cut natural Colombian emerald with no oil in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 1.88 carats, encircled by fourteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.10 carats, and set to top with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back cut-down setting with a weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.50 carats, to an impressive articulated cluster pendant featuring stylised grain detail, a decoratively pierced gallery with scalloped motifs, and fancy shape open backholing, fitted to top with an oval bale and accompanied by a belcher chain, pendant approximately 3cm in length, chain approximately 18" in length. Pendant tested yellow gold and silver, chain marked 9 carat yellow gold, circa 1880, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #124730.
