Description

Colombian emerald and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal step-cut natural Colombian emerald with no oil in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.89 carats, encircled by ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.60 carats, to an elongated coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by SSEF report #117368.
