Description

Burmese sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, encircled by twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a total approximate weight of 0.25 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design with scalloped edges, an intricately pierced linear gallery and fancy open backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-1071.
