Description

Belle Époque diamond two stone crossover ring. Set with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.10 carats, adjacent to a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.12 carats, further set with twelve round old cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.36 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.58 carats, to an attractive openwork crossover design featuring curving claws, intricately pierced collets and backholing, bordered by swirling asymmetric shoulders and terminating in a solid ridged shank. Marked platinum and yellow gold, French control marks, circa 1905.
