Belle Époque diamond tourbillon ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in open back claw setting with a weight of 0.50 carats, surrounded by twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.62 carats, to an elegant design featuring a raised circular collet with curving claws, and intricately pierced open backholing, the swirling shoulders are framed by millegrain decoration and terminate to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, French control marks, circa 1905.
