Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover millegrain setting with a weight of 2.00 carats, flanked by sixteen tapered channel set calibre cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats, further set with forty eight round old single cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate sapphire weight is 2.80 carats, to an elegant tapered form with a pierced geometric gallery and intricate backholing, with fluted shoulders and a solid lightly ridged D-shape shank.
