Art Deco emerald-cut diamond ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond, D colour, SI2 clarity in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.01 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.11 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring curving corner claws, a structured linear gallery, milllegrain edging and fancy open backholing, the raised shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, French control marks, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #2185615803.
