Description

Art Deco emerald-cut diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond in an open back rubover and millegrain setting with a weight of 0.50 carats, set to each corner with four round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, surrounded and flanked by sixteen round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.32 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.02 carats, to an openwork geometric cluster with millegrain decoration, raised open gallery supported by cheniers and intricately pierced square backholing, the slightly raised open shoulders flow to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, numbered '692', circa 1925.
