Art Deco diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a octagonal step-cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.80 carats, flanked further by four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.30 carats to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring corner claws, a decorative openwork gallery with chenier detail, and geometric open backholing, leading to slightly raised shoulders which terminate in ridged detail, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1920.
