Art Deco Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.00 carats, flanked by six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, to an impressive structured linear design with an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, the raised shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1925, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-4117.
