Art Deco Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set with one central octagonal emerald-cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 5.17 carats, flanked by four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.60 carats, to a geometric flanked solitaire design featuring split corner claws, a linear openwork gallery and pierced open backholing, flanked by raised stepped shoulders, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1925, accompanied by Carat Gem Lab report #CGL18222.
