Description

Edwardian trefoil clover locket. Centrally set with nine round single cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.20 carats, further adorned with fifteen round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.35 carats, to a locket in the form of a trefoil clover, featuring a floral cluster design with millegrain borders, circular backholing and a smooth reverse, fitted to top with a bead latch that opens to release three hinged smooth undulating leaves, exposing three drop shape glass compartments, surmounted with a curling stylised stem and secure circular bale, approximately 3.3cm in length from the top of bale. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, English, circa 1905.
