Antique spinel and diamond cluster ring. Set centrally with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced blue spinel in an open back cut down setting with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, surrounded by twenty cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back claw and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster with a finely pierced gallery, curving claws and shaped backholing, flanked by trumpeting diamond set shoulders which smooth down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 14 carat yellow gold, circa 1900.
