Edwardian sapphire and diamond three stone cross over ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, further set to top and bottom with two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, flanked by ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.10 carats, to an elegant crossover form featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to curving shoulders and flowing through to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80261-53.
