Antique sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in open back claw settings with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, surrounded by a single row of eight round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.55 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster ring with curving claws, scalloped edging, intricate open work gallery and circular backholing, the slightly trumpeting shoulders feature carved decoration which leads down to a solid shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-7092.
