Burmese ruby five stone ring. Horizontally set to a graduated row of five cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, further set with ten rose cut diamond points in rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.05 carats, to an elegant scrolling carved half hoop with intricate piercing and open backholing, flanked by engraving to the shoulders and leading to a solid tapered D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1890, accompanied by The Gem and Pearl laboratory report #18760.
