Antique pearl and enamel necklace. A yellow gold necklace, suspending five graduating circular lockets, each set to centre with a round natural unenhanced seed pearl in a closed back grain setting, surrounded by a raised eight pointed star motif, framed by fine blue enamel, each locket further suspending an articulated polished spear drop and fitted to reverse with a removable circular glass plaque, to an articulated snake chain with additional snake chain swags between each locket, all components flowing with movement and secured by a decorative barrel shaped push clasp, approximately 16" in length. Tested yellow gold, circa 1865.
