Antique diamond five stone ring. Horizontally set with five round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.80 carats, further set with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.88 carats, to an elegant graduated form with double claws, an intricate scrolling pierced gallery and open backholing, the shoulders with engraved scrollwork, leading to a solid tapered D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1900.
