Antique diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.55 carats, surrounded by eight round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.55 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring scalloped edging, curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and shaped backholing, the tapering shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1905.
