Antique diamond cluster ring by J.E.Caldwell. Set horizontally with three round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.90 carats, further set with sixty round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.90 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.80 carats, to a cluster featuring linear openwork, millegrain edging and intricate open backholing, the integrated shoulders with cheniers and grooved details, tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, signed 'J.E.C&Co', numbered 'L34177', American, circa 1910.
