Antique diamond and demantoid garnet cluster ring. Set centrally with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back rubover millegrain setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds set to shoulders in open back grain set box collet settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats, further set with sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats and enriched by single row of twelve round old cut natural demantoid garnets in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.36 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.64 carats, to a beautiful cluster form with intricately pierced gallery and fancy backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders and leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 14 carat yellow gold, circa 1900.
