Antique Ceylon sapphire solitaire ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 6.10 carats, to an elegant oval collet with split double claws, sweeping razored edges and scalloped backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders with a champfered edge and engraved details terminating to a solid shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, numbered '260', English, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #78125-45.
